The 2017 Cost vs Value report has been completed by Remodeling Magazine. These numbers are based on the Greater Milwaukee Market. It is no surprise that you don't always get a dollar for dollar return on the home improvements. If you do it yourself of course it will usually pay for itself and then some.
Return on investment for some of the following improvements:
Insulate your attic with fiberglass. 91.5%
Replace entry door 71%
Minor kitchen remodel 77.9%
Bathroom remodel 66%
Siding replacement 75.6%
Roofing replacement 71.4%
