Sellers of most properties are in a market similar to 2004-2005.  Listings in decent shape and popular locations are often getting multiple offers.  Not an enjoyable market for first time buyers, especially when first entering the market.  There is a learning curve in the housing search that brings about quick decisions and often writing over asking price. Bottom line is we need more inventory.  The late winter is also exacerbating the weak inventory.  May and June are the busiest months of the year.  Sellers are able to maximize their price at this time of the year.   If you have considered selling, whether it be your home or your investment properties, this is the time to do it!
